Q. What is Lord of the Rings Online?
A. Lord of the Rings Online is a MMORPG developed by Turbine and set in Middle-Earth, the fictional universe first described in J.R.R. Tokein’s The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Q. What is a MMORPG?
A. The acronym stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. It’s a game type where thousands of players coexist in a persistent world. Your characters will level-up and be able to quest to contribute to the growing storyline.

Q. What type of characters can I choose from?
A. You will be able to select from among four different races familiar to the Lord of the Rings universe: Men, Hobbits, Elves, and Dwarves.

Q. What type of classes can my character play?
A. You will also be able to select from one of Seven Classes: Captain, Champion, Guardian, Burglar, Hunter, Minstrel, and Lore Master.

Q. Will I be able to play as a Wizard?
A. No, because of the rarity of Wizards in the Lord of the Rings universe, Turbine has decided not to include them as playable characters.

Q. What about a Ranger?
A. No, same deal as with the Wizard. The Rangers class is both rare, and too powerful to be a playable character for a thousand people.

Q. What books will Lord of the Rings Online cover?
R. Turbine owns the rights to create MMORPGs based on The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, however, the game at release will only have areas and characters related to The Fellowship of the Ring the first book in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
